Age Marks & Colors
Because Majesty Maps are reproductions of historical and antique maps, you will find colour variations, markings, fold marks, water spots, original ink smears and other age-related details. These details are part of the character and charm of a reproduction piece and should be expected. Please note the markings shown on the preview images of your maps before making your purchase.
Due to the inherent differences in computer monitor colors and tones, the printed maps may be different than what you see on your screen. If a specific colour is critical to your project please contact us to arrange sending your colour swatch for us to work with as a colour guide on a customized map for you.
Our Process
Every map is produced using a production process known as giclée which results in a high resolution print featuring a depth of colors and vivid life-like quality not found in any standard four-color offset map prints. Giclée printing produces the highest calibre print available today and can be found in elite institutions all over the world. Our archival museum paper ensures lifetime quality. Maps may also be printed directly onto a canvas type material for an additional cost. Please inquire about this service.
Because of the wide variety of frames and mounting choices, Majesty Maps does not offer this service. Majesty maps arrive to you ready to frame or to have professionally mounted.
Custom Colored Maps
If you would like a color change, We will send you a print sample before printing the whole map. This may add one to two weeks to the order process. There is a $60 charge for this service.
Cancellations And Changes
As we manufacture to order, unfortunately we’re unable to cancel or make changes (including print selection and size) once your order has been placed. Up and until your order has been dispatched, we can update your email and shipping address if required. As we endeavor to send orders as quickly as possible, requests for address changes need to be made as soon as you can.
Change Of Mind
We print to order for all purchases, so unfortunately we are unable to offer a refund or exchange for change of mind or incorrect size choice.
We recommend taking your time to select the perfect print for your space.
Damaged Goods
We pride ourselves on the quality of our products, so if you receive a print from us which is clearly misprinted we will replace it free of charge and without delay. If an item arrives and the packaging or the item itself is clearly and significantly damaged, please take a photo showing the damage, refuse to accept the delivery and contact us immediately.
